I know Elderon may have already pointed a few of you at Mint Snowboarding if you've enquired about lessons.

Mint are an all British outfit and well regarded in the area.

Mint have been in touch directly and may be able to put together some specific 2 hour coaching sessions for us whilst we're there. This would be in additional to the free guiding we already have planned, but would be an additional cost. As yet, I don't know what that would be although I realise this might be the deciding factor for many!

What sort of coaching would people be interested in?
Technique - intermediate / advanced
Freestyle - park
Freestyle - pipe

Let me have your thoughts as this thread will guide what we try to put together.

I'll back up all the good things people say about Mint. Did their girls camp last year and can't say enough good things. So on that basis if Tammy was running a rookie freestyle session I'd be game, cost dependent Smile

Hey,

I'd be interested in:

Technique - intermediate / advanced followed by a rookie freestyle session! So if there were any chance of scheduling things so they don't clash and can logically follow one and other, that would be perfect! Smile

hmm depends highly on cost with me. But if it was reasonable enough I would be up for some park and pipe freestyle. But errr realistically I reckon the cost would be too much.

Price dependent, I'd like some intermediate technique coaching and some beginner freestyle - that would be awesome!

Sounds like a few of us are up for the same sort of deal. Dunx, there are two other guys in my group that would be up for the intermediate tech then beginner freestyle.

Hey all,
Thanks for the thread and the replies! Sounds like there should easily be enough people to get something going. I have also noted that cost is an issue... so will put a programme together and try to keep the cost down. I will get back to you all with further details...
Cheers, Tammy

That's taking the slash a bit too far... My tips are:

- Rather than do it directly in front of someone and risk ploughing into them do it as you go past.

- Backside slashes make the biggest spray Twisted and Evil

Hi again... details as follows:

Mint Snowboarding will be offering group coaching to SCUK members as follows:
42€ per person for a two hour session (min 4 & max 6 in a group)
75€ per person for 2 x two hour sessions (seeing as several of you wish to do more than one).

Sessions we will offer are:
Intermediate / Advanced Techniques to improve your riding all over the mountain
Intro to Freestyle
Intro to the Halfpipe

We are happy to run sessions of different level / focus, so let us know of any suggestions!

All sessions will be run in small groups, with a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 6 in a group, to ensure you get the most out of the coaching. We will also do our best to get groups of similar level.

For those of you who dont know us at Mint Snowboarding, we are a small team of British instructors all qualified to the highest level specifically in snowboarding. So we are the ones who can improve your riding and help you reach your goals, whatever your level. For more info check out mintsnowboarding.com.

Please email us at infoatmintsnowboarding [dot] com for any bookings / enquiries. Bookings will not be taken via the SCUK website.

Look forward to seeing you here in Morzine!

Cheers,
Tammy

Very likely, not ridden since may, although once I get going I've got the backside slash down and with my size its like a snow tsunami for the unnlucky punter stopped in the middle of the run

Our schedule is getting busy and bookings are coming in for the SCUK Bash... so if you want to get in some coaching from top level BASI instructors at a great price, then get in touch!

We are offering two x two hour session for 75€. We also have groups running of several levels for 4 x two hour sessions.

Mixture of technique progression and freestyle coaching available.

Anyway... send us an email: infoatmintsnowboarding [dot] com

Is anyone having beginner lessons?

Need to get the other half some of those as he missed a few weeks out learning here.

There another company anyone else arranged to have them with or no?

My mrs is not a complete begginner but she could so with some improver lessons that are not as advanced as what Mint are offering, if we could find all the guys that want basic training maybe we could wangle a deal like mint are offering with another company or maybe mint themselves could help us out.

I'll start a thread in the bash forum and see if there are enough people to make it worthwhile.

I am thinking of booking a couple of session with Mint for intermediate technique and intro to freestyle / park. But would be gutted if i booked Mint sessions that ended up clashing with the two half days guiding that are included. They were the highlight for me last year.

Anyone know yet when those guiding sessions are likely to be?

Just to let you know we do have a beginners group running that week... although only have two spaces left in it. Is she a complete beginner?
