You guys have rights to call yourselves a 'club' as all were made to feel welcome as far as I could tell. Made some fantastic new friends and met/rode with other great folks...thanks a million to those involved with the organisation.
Oh, a warning for anyone travelling to Val Thorens in future: STAY THE feck AWAY FROM La Folie Douce.
I had my board stolen on the last run of the last day (yesterday) absolutely gutted...I'd gotten quite attached to it over the course of the week. The gendarmerie was closed and French police didn't want to take a call from me in English, now English police have fobbed me off to the consulate...we'll see what my insurers say in the morning but it ain't looking great for my claim at present.
Shame to hear about your board mate... Not to sound stupid but did you have a lock?
Really really bad luck...I just hope the British Consulate can help me get a crime number or I've lost a lot of money.
It is just pure bad luck as much as anything else.
Theres tons more people will leave their board unattented when going into a bar, restaurant and wont have a problem.
On my first bash, someone I know locked their board, only to find the lock had been stolen when they came out, but the board was left alone!
The 'kicked in the nuts' feeling is fading and my insurers are being very helpful at the moment, so I've not lost hope on recovering my costs. Just a real sour end to an otherwise fantastic trip.
Great week.

Great week indeed Dunx, thanks again.
I would be in that group of bovverboys if I'd caught the fecker at it...pliers and a blowtorch doesn't even come close.
