Ah, the old "Mike Hunt, Mike Hunt, has anybody seen Mike Hunt?" gag. Confused
Still, the Bash sound excellent so far, and yet we barely know anything. Smile Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Geneva, Grenoble for flights. Bourg for the Eurostar. Or drive.

I'm getting quite excited already and I'm organising it! Still waiting for final details Smile

Nah i will be flying. The train from way up here in scotland would be a nightmare. My main issue with the transfer was I thought i would have to get a 10am flight back which would be a 4am transfer Suprised
Turns out i didn't notice there is a later flight. Its more expensive but i'm willing to deal with that i think.

Everything i have read about chambery sounds fantastic. Especially the seemingly regular occurrence of leaving ski and board bags on the tarmac.

Not yet. Many hoteliers are away on their own holidays this time of year apparently, so it's really tricky to get them to confirm anything. This option will come along later.

For people who are flying came across this on dragon lodge website, not sure on the prices of taking boards on planes but they collect it from your door and take it to your hotel http://www.pisteofmind.com/index.php?route=information/prices#, cheaper if you can get a group as well. anyone ever used a service like this before?

ive used Deliveries to the alps www.deliveriestothealps.co.uk and Piste of mind. Andy, who own deliveries to the alps was the original driver for Piste of Mind.
It a fab service, but it does reley on the chalet/ hotel where your staying being willing to sign for and store your stuff before and sometimes after you have left ( dependant on when the service can pick up)

I def enjoy not having to lug around a board bag and Ive found it makes ownward transfers a lot easier and sometimes cheaper ( if I ever used a taxi we dont require a larger taxi to take our stuff )

You can get a discount with Piste Of Mind with SCUK. They actually share our office. If enough people fancy using the service, we might be able to sort out a deal.

Personally, I'm driving over I think as I tend to have quite a lot of stuff that I need. One place already gone, possibly two, but there may be a spare place.

Still waiting on booking details... but anytime I hope.

After the zip on my board bag was damaged on the way home from last years bash, I'm definitely tempted to look at other options such as Piste of Mind.

Obviously need to know if the pick up/drop off is possible with the apartments/hotel, but if there is quite a few using the service then I assume it will?

Also the cost is another thing with it being £72 compared to £50 with Jet2, would be nice to get a few extra quid knocked off with a bash group booking.

I was actually thinking of coming to this for the first time in four years but I just noticed the date, it's my step dads 80th that week so I most definitely won't be missing that! Shame.

The flight was with easyjet out of luton. Any chance on getting a better deal with bens bus as i assume there will be quite a lot of us flying over. On a side note kinda wished i'd chosen a different forum name :L

I think dunx mentioned we would be partnering with bens bus earlier so probably a wee discount. (Yay scuk!)

Just have to wait for further info. If you think waiting now is bad wait until you have actually booked! Thats when things get real! Very Happy

It's with the "Ops", so presumably that means it's being configured on the booking system.

We'll be contacting Ben's Bus and will also speak to Piste of Mind about sorting us out.

There's been talk of "child-friendly" option too for those who have babies/toddlers as so many of you have been at it and having kids, but still want to come. We're looking at that and have interest from 8 adults already.

On the child-friendly option, I might be tempted to take my daughter who is 5 and can Ski. Are you thinking of just child care or Ski school etc?

But having said that I might just leave her at home with the wife! Laughing

You may consider the baggage delivery expensive, but think about the hassle you are saving yourself, no bags to lug round the airports, or on a transfer, less panic about weight limits too (presumably)...

Sounds good to me.

That aside I'm off on the Eurostar
