Anyone manage to get a refund out of Outgoing for the missing of Air and Style? I've just got off the phone to Ciara and they're not able to refund apparently.

They are, however, happy to give a statement for insurance companies but I'm doubtful that the £70 is going to be bigger than my excess.

Yeah it's pretty much not worth it if I have to go through the insurance company.

We have yet to sort this out with OG.

But here are the facts of the matter.

When we changed coach drivers at Folkestone (on time) and got on the Dover ferry (on time), I asked the drivers when we'd be in Mayrhofen. They said 1800. We were never going to make it and as the coach was scheduled by OG, they are entirely to blame for 6 of us missing the OG transfer to the event which left at 1600 and for us missing the event. We were also delayed by 90 minutes on the road, again this was the figure given by the drivers. We arrived in Mayrhofen at 1930, exactly as predicted by the drivers. I made it very clear to the rep on the coach that we had not decided not to go to the Air & Style (the suggestion being that we get a train from a nearby town in to Innsbruck and a taxi to the arena), but that OG had failed to get us there in time.

Jeez, I'm glad I didn't take that risk Dunx. Do you think you would of been able to sort me a bed out in the end out there?

I don't think they'll lose any sleep over it but Outgoing don't half mind upsetting people by the way they conduct themselves do they.
I've you've ever riden Cairngorm please show your support for the revival of the Ciste and West Wall chairlifts. I'm sure you'll agree they need saving.

Still amazes me that they changed the coach schedule, if they stuck with the original schedule, departing 4 hours earlier, we would have made it.
