You can book lessons as part of the SCUK package, off your own back online, wait until you get out there or just play it by ear. If you can already ride, might be worth hitting the slope on day one, then booking a private/small group lesson for a couple of days rather than get restricted to a group lesson every day.

Hi Dunx, I'm hoping to make a decision today. Got another question/issue though - I'm looking at 2*/3* accommodation but need to make sure I have WIFI (free ideally) for work purposes....do you know which accommodation has wifi?

I don't, but my assumption is they all will. Give OG a call to see whether that's a reasonable assumption.

Thanks Smile

About to book, does the backcountry party involve any snowboarding? If so, a certain level?

Can we book whilst we're out there?

Don't think there is any snowboarding involved - if it's anything like the Backcountry parties Outgoing organise for other events then it'll be more about partying than riding. I've no idea if you can book out there, but if in doubt, book beforehand if you really fancy it.

Cannot wait to get me some of that! Hope we get some fresh snow while we're out there.

Anyone know what will be covered at each level in the lessons offered on the outgoing booking form?

I'm assuming the beginner lessons are teaching you right from the basics... but I can already board, but not great, so was considering the intermediate...

Another Q that I forgot earlier...

The booking page has an option to hire snowboard+boots, and a load of ski options (I assume its a very early April fools joke Smile) - my mate needs to hire a board and bindings, but has boots already... Which option does he need? Can he select the skis only (and accept the shame) but get a board?

Cheery-poos.

Not sure if it's any use, but Outgoing use Ski School SMT Mayrhofen for the lessons.

4* : Aparthotel St Josef
3* : Hotel-Pension Strolz
2* Pensions : Auf der Wiese, Kassnerhof and Panorama

I guess the pensions will be decided upon room allocation..?

Just found out that booking will close this Wednesday. Then we start work on allocating people to rooms and I'll be emailing everybody with any preferences when we know exactly who's going.

For lessons; Bud's link I guess.

For hire; it might jut be easier to sort out once you arrive. I know, they seem to have lots of options for skiers and few for snowboarders. Go figure.

I emailed the 4* hotel to see if wifi was available, so just in case anyone else was wanting to know - reply is below

W-LAN is possible around reception area and in the hotel bar.

You need to buy tickets with login in and password.

1 hour = € 3,00
1 day = € 5,00
1 week = € 15,00

Hi Dunx

I have a question about the equipment hire. Now we have all received the package voucher and the essential information, it states that were using MoreBoards on the main street.

This may sound like a stupid question but do we use the holiday voucher as proof to Moreboards that we have hired equipment for the week?

Cheers!
