The hotels are listed on this page about half way down under accommodation:

http://www.snowboardclub.co.uk/events-wb12.html

I guess if you're staying in a pension this will be decided upon room allocation which can't be far off now?

Not sure about the coach..

Normally I'd agree but I'd pretty much just split up with my ex when I booked so decided to treat myself.. It's about time I stopped now though!

I don't think we can't finalise accommodation until booking closes.

As for the coach, I don't think I can answer that one as it's likely to be "the coach the coach company send". I hope it does have AC though. I also want to know whether the TV will have any inputs we can use as I have a harddrive full of films I could bring. All we know is that it'll have VHS/DVD, although if it has a VHS I'd be very surprised TBH!!

I keep getting tempted by those snazzy video goggle things.

Well in that case, thank god I have noise cancelling earphones. Laughing
Pretty sure the coach is going to be way too noisy for anyone to be able to watch a film on the coach TV. I also have a feeling it will be full of Snowboarders in high spirits, trying to drink as much as they can before leaving England. I am ever so slightly excited now. Very Happy

I think I'll add something to the main page as I keep answering this one. I'm not 100% sure, but we'll leaving it open as long as we can. At some point we need to start handing back any unused rooms and allocating rooms to people, so the quicker you book, the better. You have at least two weeks todecide, but I'll try and get a definitive answer from OutGoing.

Don't forget the coach stops at Tamworth, MK an Hemel if those are convenient for you from Worcester.

Dunx, do you have a rough idea what time the coach will be arriving back in the UK up to Cas? Im just looking at sorting a taxi to drop off and pick up at Cas but its a good hour/two drive so a rough guestimated time would be brill?!

Not yet I'm afraid. The coach currently does not have enough people booked on, so we're discussing that with Outgoing today I hope. I'm on the coach too, so it *will* be sorted out.

Not so sure I could manage that long on a bus. Nearest really is Tamworth which would be a good hour to get to, so I think the Fly option is best for me.

I've seen this answered before but can't find it. What level do you need to be at to sign up for this?

I'd love to come this year but I've only done a few lessons, so fingers crossed for next the bash.

@bb: Anybody is welcome. We've had people who haven't even been on a snowboard before and there will always be somebody to ride with.

@jf: Have replied to your PM, but basically we need to look at the costs to us as we haven't filled the coach. I'm on the coach so it will get sorted. If that's not possible then everybody will get a refund on the coach and SCUK will pay the difference for a flight (up to a maximum I'm guessing). I'm assuming the coach will go ahead.

Thanks Dunx. If I can find the balls to do this on my own (lol), how long have I got to decide? Also, anyone else going that's beginner level?

They want to close it "now", but we don't want them too. Beyond that...?

There's 50 odd people going and I know some are "conservative" when riding ;)

Do it! There will be plenty of people to give you tips and I'm sure you'll pick it up pretty quickly.

You will be fine, People will ride with you and help you - We are not all freestylers with massive ego's, some are old pharts like me (and dunx lol) who dont need to hammer the mountain.

Book as you dont want to spend the rest of the year thinking "perhaps i should have gone!" Smile

I am an old fart *and* need to hammer the mountain.

MW is correct though, we have many people who wish they'd booked on when they hear how much fun we have! Think of all the snow in Europe right now for a start.

If anyone needs convincing of the conditions in Mayrhofen over the last few days (and why they should get out there), then this little video should help (they were riding on 7th Jan) Smile

No idea if there are any English run schools out there, though the Austrian ones should have fully-English speaking instructors and I've heard they're very good. No idea of price though...
