After having the Xscape virtually to myself yesterday morning, I've booked myself 10-4 slope time (to miss the football traffic) and emailed Claire at Snowzone asking yo get myself on the 1030 lesson, But I haven't heard anything back yet

Im with you on that last comment, 8 days and counting. Although I did manage a sneaky 2hours last Sunday. Me and the missus were taking the kids to Ayr for a few days away in a wee cottage and it was even her idea that we stop off in Glasgow for a day. She took the brats to the flicks and dad gets to hit the slope for the afternoon, it was great to be back on the white stuff again, I even managed a couple of the smaller features, althogh i did get a small telling off from the nice girl on the tow for not having a lid, still it was worth it, anyway all the Braehead lids stink, man you can smell em from the other end beside the changing stalls, still all in all a great day out and roll on the 23rd.

ain't that the truth!
got to have a strong gag reflex to wear those things... gives you the boke...

7 days to go!! ... was there yesterday. There is absolutely nothing up about the bash. No posters, no signs, no nothing...

wonder how the slope will be set up! really hope they will have a reasonable length jib box out. The only box out yesterday was a short short beginners box. and it was in a rubbish position... and you couldn't use it because kids were getting trained on it.

I thought they were leaving the boxes and rails out at all times for the summer holidays, summer of love or something was it not?
last Sunday they had three boxes, the small one I was trying, a slightly higher one and one that was higher yet with a downward kink in it, there was a three foot high hump in the snow(some kind of kicker?) and a lage piece of fence with a rail leading out. It was pretty well set up (i think) and there was still plenty of room to carve around, best of all there was no more than twenty folk in the dome at any one time.

Not sure on the normal Summer of Love layouts, but I know they will be making a special effort for next Saturday's Scotish Bash.

I just got back from 2 days @ Braehead with Definition. Guy called Andy thats been with me is one of the guys setting up the park this week and from what he's said and I asked for it sounds like it's going to be awesome Smile

Requested... Kicker as it was this week, roller, proper Box not the A frame they had this week. He says the ribbed gas pipe is going to be out as well. Theres going to be a few other things as well. A few people hurt themselves on the rainbow so I think they are taking it away for a few weeks

That requested setup sounds good. Heading over for the 1030 coaching session with the other 1/2. Really want the gas pipe, hope there is a park layout circulated before Saturday.

I've not ridden for a while and it looks a nice park to build back in on. Have booked onto the 12 coaching just for a dig along and so I dont just play safety tricks all day

Snap! park boards all round it seems. Super stoaked, the layout looks sweet much better than the other features that have been out. On the 1030 session, anyone else on that one?

Bad news! After this weekend antics @ Braehead I have managed to break my wrist and am in a cast for 8 weeks (tba) Going to order this water proof cover thingy they said I could get so hope it gets here next day. But I may not be hitting many features now Sad Though the weight of the cast would be good ballast! I'm still coming... Might as well seeing as I paid for it haha.

You'll need to be careful about that. If the slope staff catch wind of you riding with a cast, you'll probably be asked to leave the slope for H&S reason Sad

Go for the baggy look and you should get away with it ;)
