This bash looks like it's going to be wicked..Haven't been to a scuk bash before so me and missus looking at booking on this one.

Could anyone shed any light on the differences in activities between the day and evening sessions, as I've read that the Jam session starts in the evening. What else differs if anything.

Would be great to meet fellow scuk members..

Neither are serious. In the day you can get booked on some coaching sessions and then in the evening it's just riding the slope, having a laugh and going home with some goodies Smile

We don't do serious jam competitions, 'cos that would mean I'd never win any prizes. If you smile/fall over/stomp a corked 1080, you'll get some goodies. It's about enjoying snowboarding for all the right reasons.

that's pretty much what happens when I fall over every time, in that order. Except "stomp" should be used loosely

For anyone that's staying in the Hemel Premier Inn / anyone else who is around:
Last year me and Charlie went to this awesome Thai place for tea.. was really reasonabily priced and was amazing! We're going to see if they're still in business and suggest getting a few people together for Fri night meal if anyone's up for it?

Even though I live 15 mins away I'll be stopping over in a room on the Saturday night. If you guys are all meeting up on Friday night too I'm sure I can drive, and not drink... Suprised sh1t, is that possible?????

Tea is either a drink or an early evening snack - usually partaken with the drink variety - before dinner/supper; and that is all Razz

The best Thai place in Hemel is Chiang Mai Cottage in the old town. And the set priced menus are quite reasonable.

Cool

And if you don't mind driving 10-15 mins to St. Albans there's a few good curry/thai/chinese restaurants, a Zizzi's and a Nandos.

The place in Hemel was good because it was just 5 mins walk from the Premier Inn. Ta for the recommendations though.

I would book in advance just to be sure. I think there was around 60 pre-booked and that's nowhere near capacity, but you never know.

Dunx, I have a couple of friends who are currently non members. They plan on turning up on the day, joining SCUK, and hoping to get in on the action. Is this ok?
