You won't see to many Olympians with head phones in during their event for starters..lol
feck the Olympics, I just hope to god skateboarding doesn't ever end up in it.
Agreed. Plus I prefer doing rather than watching.
How big a halfpipe do they need? I felt like I could probably get a sandwich and cup of tea in within the time it took them to get from one side to the other
Yeah! Lets Keep snowboarding for those who picked it up in the 90s and only compete in competitions based on their local hill!
I'd give my left nut to be at the Olympics and judging by how hyped those who are there, I'm pretty sure they feel like they belong there and those who don't, aren't there.
It's not the competition that makes you 'a characterless drone' and even if all the Olympic snowboarders do become drones, that is still such a small minority of snowboarders so 'we' can leave them to do what they want and 'we' can go out and do what 'we' want.

I think he was talking about the characterless drones who usually attend the Olympics and don't understand snowboarding, for example Clare Balding...
Way to fight back.

bingo completely missed the point of my post, and hence why I don't normally bother.
Listening to Claire balding and that other bint using terms like 'gnarly and rad' actually made me feel a little bit sick... And then you look at the majority of 'athletes' that compete in other events, whether its on snow, in a race car, or running around in circles round a track they come across as some of the dullest people on earth.. none of team gb snowboarders did...but you watch what happens in the years to come.
To pick up on one of the points it is completely the constraints of this sort of competition that makes people characterless drones, rules imposed on behaviour, what's allowed, what's not, what to wear, what to say, what not to say, don't offend anyone....blah, blah.
'feck the Olympics'

The guys from Butta were selling those at the Whitelines halfpipe final party on Tuesday. Didn't see anyone buy one though.

Cue WinterFunMan, stage left...
To be fair, my fave part was them singing to the Austrian boarder who went for a slip down the start and then her coach followed her.
