I would have to say that this season aint so great unfortunately, but there's still a lot of snow around. Nevis, round the corner from the coe, have a good park set up and i dont think the guys from glencoe are far behind either. Not been up to the Vans park in gorms yet so i cant comment.
Glencoe passes are about 20 quid at the mo, because all the snow on the top half of the hill. Its best to pick your dates mate and check the forcasts on winterhighland.com or the MWIS weather website. And if it looks crap, head to France.
otherwise, you dont know what you might miss!
Glencoe will have snow in Easter, gotta keep saying it , Glencoe holds more snow than any other resort for longer.... The weather has been pretty pish with us having a dump then thaw and so on, but the good thing tae come out this is the base is getting stronger and stronger, which should set it up for summer sliding naebother......
Some of the lads are going up tae have a look at the park at the end of this week, a good few of the toys are finished now, and there is still loads of steel ready for fabrication in the garage.....
The vans park is the same as Cairngorms had out last year, bar 3 barrels welded together.....
The winds look tae be pretty high this coming weekend, but from Sunday onward things are looking interesting with a good chance of some proper cold weather coming our way with plenty of snow
Keep watching http://www.winterhighland.info/
The Glencoe snow park ste has a wee forum set up, mostly so people can register for getting info regarding comps and what going on, and a few threads for finding out other things that are going on.... They are going tae do some sort of diary thing on making toys soon, for people tae see how its done

Thanks to our fat deep gullies I'm happy to say that Glencoe is loaded up top.. The Plateau Poma was in great condition moving people up towards the terrain, the route from the top of this back to the Cliffy Chair was fun... It can be done with care.. The plateau was good though getting thin towards the bottom at the end of the day with the slight rise in temps(pister will be onto that). The freezilng level has to bounce up and down into next week and will consolidate the snow even more setting up the runs for a long time..
The Main Basin is loaded, the Haggis Trap is no longer Scotlands best natural kicker as it's flat!! Gotta be some amount of snow there, 6m+
As for the park, we were busy setting out more rails today at the bottom of the park while the pister was up doing its stuff.. We have a box set in and we spent a couple of minutes testing it out, we have a flat down in position and ready to be set.. The other box will be put in over the next few days and we will be moving more of the smaller rails down to this area while still sorting out the kickers and getting more of the rails moved up to the park..
We have 8 toys out in the park and will be finishing these off this Saturday, while the big ones are moved up into position

Glencoe will be dead this weekend, so you shouldn’t have to wait too long for a lift. Everyone will be heading to Nevis for their slopestyle and big air comp on Saturday.

And how dae ya work than one out, or ya just throthing again?
Nevis may have a comp on but Glencoe have a hell of a lot more snow than them thanks to the mega base they have....
The top is loaded simon its looks patchy, but its a proper mountain, the rocks ya see aint wee rocks that are and 1inc under the snow thay go down for ages.. Mega amounts of snow up there..
Glencoe has had the best cover this year out of all the resorts and will hold it for the longest... A lot of the snow that fell in the west coast last weekend was cosmetic, u can see this from pics of the resorts, the powder never lasted long for those that never had the base, but Glencoe had the base!

Cheers bud, never been to Coe before. Should be awesome!
Ask aboot the park for me Simon and I'll take ya over the Springy if ya want and show ya a few hits. There were three lads rippin the place up yesterday, I think they were fae Arbroath and Dundee, some of the stuff they were pulling wis class oot aw the natural, big semi back flips oot the canyon wind lip and then some quality moves on the box and rails that were in the park.....
I'm converted after watching them, a dream tae watch!!
I'm gonie have tae start skipping on tae xscrap noo(for the rails, kickers= Bearsden) in the summer or when the aw the snow finaly leaves the Mighty Glencoe(somtime summer usualy) and the park has melted...

You shouldn’t need to venture into the fridge for rails… Bellahouston it’s going to be the place to go in Glasgow once they get their new snowflex slope in place this summer.

yeah was one of the main reasons i kept my membership going there
Think me and a few guys are heading early doors from Aberdeen!!!
Hopefully its worth it as the folk im taking with me are saying its going to be sh1t, doom and gloom bastards!
The sun was blasting down on the resort all weekend, and the place was buzzing...
Today we set about the big kicker more and I can now tell you its about 45ft from the kicker to the landing and its a cracker, it still needs some work but its going to a beauty!!!
Pushing the kicker in
One of the lads testing
Yesterday a couple of us built a Rainbow Box in about 5 hours

All in all not worth the trip as it was full of skiers and the Queue for the Tbar was huge! HAd to share the Tbar too which was crap!
The area round the park was not pisted so to keep more people away as they were working on it, it was hard enough for the pister to get moving with the crowds it always attracts for some weird reason
Bit of fresh is forcasted sometime this week for Scotland, and the kicker at Glencoe is huge, gotta be the biggest one up here!!!

Following last week’s hugely successful Nevis Range Highlander competition, the scene is now set on the nearby hillside for the final reckoning of Snowsport Scotland’s Highlander series of snowboard and freeride competitions. This weekend will see the Glencoe Highlander: Endgame hosted on the favourite Scottish resort among snowboarders and freeriders.
The organisers are hoping to be able to run both Big Air and Slopestyle Competitions to make the most of the final and with the weather promising sunshine, competitors, and spectators should be in for a real battle of the heroes.
Will the Scottish legend that is Stu Cockburn be able to vanquish the visiting riders from south of the border? Or will English favourites such as Mark Hartley give us a Glencoe Massacre for the 21st Century. We’ll have to wait and see – there can be only one…
Don't miss Snowsport Scotland's

We stayed until 1pm and there was only the one dude. There was another one which you had to walk to! Was pretty gash
Sorry I'm not having that!! Fly Paper didn't open till mid-day, and then as has been said it had to be walked to. One run with a couple of off-shoots does not turn it into 3 runs I'm afraid. After you got off the (seemingly endless) T-Bar, you turned right and that was your only run down.
I'm not knocking it, or trying to have a go at you, because they only have a spar5e coverage of snow, but bumming Glencoe up to be something it's not by claiming it has 3 lifts (i.e. Access Chair, Cliffy Chair then top T-Bar ALL of which were needed to just get to the only area with any snow) & 4 runs open (which even the most optomistic could only class as 2 with Fly Paper open)
Both of which both were rock solid with ice & as bumpy as hell until mid-day because noone had bothered to Piste them. Trying to mae it sound anything other than this only leads to people being dissapointed when in reality there was more than enough there for a good day's boarding.
I understand the reasons to support the local scene but let's be realistic about it eh!?
U usually have to walk over to the flypaper unless you are on skis for a start, and would you try and take a pister up the flypaper????????
If you came of the t-bar and stayed high and went past the park area then turned right thats another run!
Then there is the spring run, and tae throw another in there were plenty of folk hitting Ballies gully at the weekend, though this is aff-piste!
So get yer facts right as to what runs are up there at the moment!!!
