NO!
You use a metal scraper to deliberately remove excess / proud p-tex from the base (e.g. after doing a repair).....a metal scourer will probably do the same, which you don't want to do here!!!
As cokey's said, scape off all the wax you reasonably can then use the soft green scourer from tip to tail......then go outside and take a gander in the daylight and it'll look perfect (that is if your board's base is a dark colour. I'd always go for a plain black base as you can really see where you're at with the waxing process).
I use a Stanley knife to clear / sharpen my scraper as I go...no file teeth to clog up, but just my preference...
I've used a green scourer on a skateboard before and discoloured it with a green tinge which shows up far too well.
Having said that, my eyes are probably a fair bit older than yours.....
I'm pretty sure the green ones are fine, but if in doubt go for the black anyway
First off, defo too much wax- I re-scraped tonight for 20 minutes and couldn't believe how much came off again.
I then scoured marks and blemishes (green scourer, no noticeable greening...) evening out any waxy lumps and raised bit visible to the naked eye. A final buff with a J-cloth followed by a stiff plastic scrubbing brush nose to tail and hey presto- it looks like a half decent job!
Thanks again, you've all been super helpful.
Iron on, scrap off with a burnisher. Job done, took 5 minutes and didn't need a **** expensive all in one device which did a crap job.
There's a reason why I wax a board after I've had it serviced at TSA, the hot wax rolling machine they use is sh1t.
A little no doubt goes a long way.

Probably just my paranoia after making a mess of a good skateboard deck. I got a new bigger deck and countersunk the screw holes using a garden patio weeding tool that looks like something out of the Riddick movies. So I must be getting more relaxed as I get older.
Sintered is supposed to be slightly porous isn't it? Where as slightly porous boats tend to erm, sink.

I usually use WD40 and know of Ski Techs who do the same, but noticed that when cleaning various pieces of skateboard equipment with chain degreaser how good it was at removing wax/crap and had some the same active ingredients.

don't steal my ride spamc*nt
I see various scrapers online, both plastic, "acrylic" (that's plastic, right? lol), and metal. Is it just personal preference or do they achieve different results?
I had considered this tool:

But I am guessing the holes by the scraper are purely to lose weight rather than actually scraping?
*goes off to google hot scraping*
