I have just been on snow forcast as I am going on the Winter Bash and noticed it does not look great.
So I will be praying for you and me both!
For those who have been away when the conditions have been a little bit poor - rainy I suppose is what i mean - what can we expect the pistes to be like??? Does Morzine have snow cannons??? I know it is not a high altitude resort like Tignes... if there is no major snowfall between now and the bash, what will it be like ? packed ice or Grass!?
Thats good to know... also Nicks comment on Avoriaz.
I have been away snowboarding 4 times in total, to Canada and France and been so so lucky every time in terms of weather as the snow has always been abundent and bluebird most days.
Heres hoping the OP has a good one and then us a week later.
Don't panic!
the main town it's about 40 minutes. Super M bubble which often has big old queues then a chair then the longest traverse along the longest green, have to stay on one edge for about 15 minutes, it's the green from snowboarder hell. Then up another chair into Avoriaz. Or you can get the bus up to the big old cable car which takes you strait there. But is quite away from town.
I'd love to see how we get 100 people into one hot tub. Girls in first!

info
There is plenty of snow in avoriaz, 92% of pistes open, only snow cross runs closed really.
Give yourself about an hour to get up the lifts from Morzine to Avoriaz and don't leave it too late coming down.
We left it until 5.25pm and had to ride some closed runs down and just got the last chair to catch the last super morzine bubble at 6.

I am guessing that half the club is looking forward for a hot tub with Vicky
Last year we went out first week in January - before new year the Pleney was grass field with a line of man made ice - day before we flew out it puked it down and there was soft fluffy stuff everywhere.
Its January - it can be changeable in the Alps
I agree.. the first chair after super morzine goes over piste with awesome powder fields either side. worth a ride down at least once on your way up to avoriaz. It gets missed by some in the rush to the top.
