What products would you want to see?

Hi all!
My name is Ryan Jones, im a product designer in pursuit of a masters. For my major project im looking to design a new product that is needed in the world of snowboarding and/or skiing.
What are some issues/ annoyances/ inconveniences of current systems or products you currently use and what kind of products would you like to be available?
any insights and help would be very much appreciated, Thanks!

Hydration. I find over a week on the hill I become dehydrated and really should drink more fluid.
Problem is, I don't want to double my weekly budget by buying expensive drinks on the mountain. I could buy a bottle from a local spa and carry it in my jacket pocket, except most 500mL bottles don't fit in my jacket pocket.
I could carry a backpack/camelbak, but I don't like carrying a backpack/camelbak.
How about designing a jacket with decent pockets that can hold a standard 500mL drinks bottle, maybe in a pocket tucked away under one arm for example? or maybe a pair of pants with a drinks bottle size pocket in the trouser leg? Or maybe a jacket with a built-in hydration system, like a slim line camelbak? Something not heavy and that doesn't add bulk. Needs to be removable.
Button drag lifts - Noobs usually hate these and because of this they will avoid using them. While this is good for some of us, it's also bad because invariably there are either noobs in your group or more experienced riders who have avoided button lifts for so long they still cannot ride them. This means we have to leave them behind/find an alternate route or miss out on a route because some of the group wont follow. I think the main issue of these is the button connection to the rider, the direction the button and pole pulls you in and the comfort factor. They are designed for skiers. How about taking a look at the button/drag lift connection interface to see if you could design a better system, maybe with hinges, different shapes etc, something that fits more comfortably to both a skier and a snowboarder.
I'm not talking about one of these nonsense bracket style efforts that some people have designed to hook onto your trousers and connect you to an existing button. I'm talking about a redesign of the whole button/button pole.
