Womens Impact Shorts

Any girlies out there who can advise on the best impact shorts to get? After a fall last time I was out and landing on my ar5e pretty hard, I've had a painful hip, only just shaken off after 2 weeks.
Thinking about getting some padding to protect my ageing body!!
Thanks
Clare

most of the women's ones i looked (a few years ago now) were a more than a bit rubbish with non-existent padding (usual case of pink a plastic shell and shrink it).
i ended up getting some red/burton D3O total impact women's small - i usually go for women's medium anowboard trousers. they're similar to these ones:

in the past i have had to buy men's ones cos of the limited ones available for women.
hope this helps
For some the only important issue is protection, for others it is low profile (so my bum does not look too big or so I can still get my snowboard pants on) for others it is price and for some it is a pretty design with girlies graphics, lace, pink, flowers, etc.
You need to decide which factors are most important for you. Shorts offering the best protection tend to be either bulkier/heavier or more expensive. Low profile shorts can offer decent protection but these shorts are likely to be a lot more expensive.
You'll do well to find a pair of shorts low in price, high in protection and low in profile so you'll need to compromise somewhere. This is why you will find so many different opinions about which shorts are best.
Pop into a shop and examine them close up. Remember to take with you your snowboard pants and a good friend who can tell you, honestly, how big your bum looks!
So far so good and not bulky.
I have actually ordered a pair of the Demon Pro shorts over the D30 ones. I ummed and arred over which to go for, but went for the Pro version as I had heard that landing on the D30 can be just as hard as landing without padding due to the way the material works, and of course the price difference.
Will see how these go (not that I plan on falling!). For the past couple of years I've had nothing, so these will certainly be an improvement on that!
Thanks again
Clare
