Help me put some butter on it!

Good morning all. I'm looking for a little bit of advice and am hoping that someone out there has felt my pain at some point. I have been riding since 2006, usually only managing two weeks a season to be honest. I would call myself an intermediate as I can happily cruise down most runs.
The problem that I have now is that after 4 years without riding I have decided on a trip for next year but want to change it up a little bit. I would love to add a bit of buttering to my cruising but when trying it in the past the results have been less than spectacular. I currently ride a Burton Custom (2010)165W, which I admit is not ideal for me. I'm 6ft tall and 15 stone with size 10 feet.
What I really want is something that can cruise the groomers but allow me to work on my butter tricks without sacrificing too much stability. I was hoping that if you had the time you may be able to share your thoughts with me. Any advice on board and to be honest bindings(I have customs here as well...2007) would be very much appreciated. As you can see I have got great use out of my set up so I reckon Ive earned some new kit. I have looked at the YES Libre and YES Typo as boards that coulddothe job for me but would very much like the benefit of your thoughts...Thanks in advance.

I love some buttery madness and ride as soft a board as possible. When I first started riding a soft board it was a little tricky being used to a stiffer boards but now I’m used to, have no problems at speed wether I’m carving, straight lining or buttering, however, I’ve done many seasons so that probably helps me control the noodle at speed! however, riding a soft board is not a necessity as its more about weight distribution than flex, yes flex does make it easier to butter and getting your weight distribution right can take a bit of practice. A good start might be practicing your weight distribution at home before you go, just strap in and do daily reps in your front room! It’ll be harder moving but still static flex reps at home will help and strengthen those butter muscles too! maybe just start doing that with your custom and see how it feels, if the base is in good nick no need to buy a new one, last season i rode a snapped board for most of it with a ridiculously scratched base! check out this you tube video on flex doesn't matter https://youtu.be/hgWXbwq7FVk
