Summit Talisman Goggles

I was walking through the Telegraph Ski and Snowboard show when I happened across the stand for Summit. I heard a lot about them but never actually had a chance to look at these goggles properly. Simon was on the stand and he demonstrated the ease that you could change the lenses simply by using the tab to pull the magnets on the lens away from the frame. Simple and amazing. Little did I realise how handy that would be.
I borrowed a Giro helmet from another stand and made sure they would fit and then ordered some immediately. The package I bought included a Blue Polarised lens (black frame), yellow low light lens (white frame), a rigid carrying case for the spare, a travel case and microfibre pouch. All for £95! As it was a kickstarter project initially I had to choose my options later. I pretty much missed every message they sent me about my options but Simon contacted me and made sure that mine were delivered with the options that I decided.
So off I went on holiday to Japan. Unlike my previous goggles I tried to make sure I really looked after these ones. I never put them on top of my helmet when going inside etc or even at the bus stop. I took off the lens every night and let the frame dry out. Many times we got to a gondola and my friends would put the goggles on top of their head. Instead of this I just pulled the lens off to I could let the heat from my face out. OK I looked strange but I’m sure this really stopped them fogging. You could also give them a quick wipe on the out side with the microfibre cloth and dab the inside.
Otherwise the thing that makes them really fog up is falling into snow. You get hotter from all the getting up and the goggles get wet. I’m sure part of the reason why they didn’t fog up is that I was riding better than I have been before.
So I can thoroughly recommend these goggles but please don’t expect them never to fog if you don’t take care of them.
Cheers
