Pages not looking right!

So, firstly I am not a computer geek so use simple language! When I look at pages with pics they are often cut short on the right hand side as I look at it, my recent FS post for example, any suggestions?

i think it's because of the recent pic-resizing code Dunx added. Previously a large image would add scroll-bars to the frame so you view the full image, but think ppl complained that it made all the replies a pain to read or something. Believe he's added code to auto resize the image down to prevent these scroll-bars. Problem is, I think the text wraps at the width of the original image, so disappears off to the right in the post with the image.
classic example:

can see all the text if you group select it and copy & paste it into the reply box, so the text is all there, just visually cropped...
Despite the 'rules' elsewhere saying pix should be 640 pixels wide they should now be 540 (or even better 530) pixels wide to fit in the column width. I guess the specs for the pix elsewhere still needs to be updated.
I'm sure everything will be fixed come SCUK2
If your open to suggestions its always been difficult to find out what size a pic can be, no real source of info on it. Would be ideal to have an easy to find page which specifies in easy (for people like me) to understand the file size and pixel size of pics and Avatars, then we have no excuse.
It's not just uploaded pictures though as you can include links to pictures and they can be any size. They're the main reason I decided to truncate.
