Hey guys,
Just a little question to Dunx, and to the rest of you really.
Have you thought about adding a 'retailers' section to the forum catagories. Personally I hate spam and no doubt so does everyone esle but I think having a catagory like this would be a great section for companies like us to be able to intro ourselves, shout about our gear and highlight any discounts and deals we've got on.
Would also be a perfect place to offer SCUK members special discounts and stuff like that which we would definately like to do.
Just a thought, wondered what everyone else thought?

As you know we've had Shop Finder on theboarder site but not yet got it tranfered over to SCUK yet, this will happen soon though. Also members will be automatically shown their nearest 5 shops (and slopes) to where they live.
Further more to promoting yourself/ brand/ shop... there is several ways..
1/ Place a banner
2/ offer our members a discount and we'll promote your brand/ shop in this section
http://www.snowboardclub.co.uk/module-htmlpages-display-pid-11.html contact info
3/ place a link in the links section
hope that helps, but if you have any more ideas then by all means drop a reply

See where your coming from. We already have a banner ad and a link and have email Sian on several occassions ergarding setting up such a discount for members.
My first email was replied to saying that you didnt have any room for any more discount partners and the second email I sent has been totally ignored. I will try and email you again regarding the offer we want to give all members abnd hopefully we can get things moving this time around.
Cheers
Matt
There's already a forum for equipment, so that's a good place for introductions, although there's always that fine line between spam and an introduction as you well know.
Sian has emailed me now so hopefully we'll get something sorted. Thanks for all your help though bud
Matt
