Building on the success of the SNO!park, SNO!zone introduce the new SHOWDOWN Ski & Board Jam format competitions!
TSA Showdown made a welcome return to SNO!zone Scotland on Saturday the 23rd of February. The event was host to the Nike 6.0 “Killing It” Sub Comp which caused a serious buzz within the riders and a major step up in everyone’s game! Over 40 people competed in the jam competition with ages ranging from 7 to 33. The monthly TSA Showdown is designed to gently bring skiers and boarders into the competitive side of the sport while ensuring a positive, supportive and friendly atmosphere. ResultsSnowboarding: 1st Pete Weir (Glasgow) 2nd Finlay Wallace (Aberdeen) 3rd Ben Sakal (Halstead, Essex) Skiing: 1st Mark Trimmer (Edinburgh) 2nd Graham Pinkerton (Glasgow) 3rd Michael Close (Ayrshire) Nike 6.0 ‘killing it’ exists to recognise those unsung hero’s who are stepping it up and maybe not (yet) reaching the podium places. This time the prizes were given to Cal Sanderson and Pete Meadows, both young locals from Glasgow. Cal was recognised for a gradual step up from slow hits on the features to a finish which included 360’s and tail taps at the top of the barrel stack! Pete Meadows pulled out some of the most stylish front side nose and tail slides over the top of the barrel which stood almost twice his height. Nike 6.0 ‘Killing it!’ spot prizes went to: 1st Cal Sanderson (Skier: Glasgow) 2nd Pete Meadows (Snowboarder: Glasgow) Post event article and photo/video gallery can be found at www.ilovelegion.com The Nike and TSA Showdown Jam event page can be administered by dunx (Dunx), stu (Stu Brass), spencer (Spencer Claridge) and office (Office).
