On Her Majesty's Snowboard Service
Operation Slopestyle. A big air and slopestyle competition for everybody to enter.
The event is a totally open event and will have the following categories: Male Female Youth The event is advertised as "On Her Majesty's Snowboard Service, operation slopestyle". The idea is to get dressed up as a character from the James Bond era: Dr No, Bond Girls, Jaws, etc. Everyone who is in fancy dress will receive 20% off vouchers for their next visit to Milton Keynes. There are also plenty of prizes to give to the guys and gals who are looking good. For inspiration check out Silly Jokes for some daft costumes and classic Billy Bob teeth. The event will be held on the evening of Fri 29 Mar 02 at the Snozone Milton Keynes. Registration will take place between 1800-1900hrs in the Sno Cafe; the price to enter the comp is just £5, which can be paid on the night. You also need to pay for the normal Friday evening session - £35 through the Snozone on 01908 230260. Members of the Armed Forces can get a discount if they have not already pre-booked, but they'll need to bring along some form of Id. The Snozone recommends all slope time is pre booked. Included in the price is the use of the Snozone's equipment (board, boots and helmet). Remember to bring your own gloves. The Event will be run from 1900 - 2300hrs, the event will be a Jamming session. Santa Cruz snow skates will also be on show and subject to slope capacity there will be demos during the evening on the slope. There may even be a snow skate mini competition. The prize giving will take place straight after the event, location to be confirmed. The other slope is available for any who doesn't want to compete and just wants to have some fun and hook up. Unfortunately, the Sno Bar will close at 10.30pm because it's a Bank Holiday. Also visiting the comp is Tony Brown from the World Snowboard Guide, he will be available at the event to sign copies of the guide. The World snowboard guide covers over 400 resorts spread over 60 countries.
