Stars of the Stadium
The competition is invitational and 30 riders are invited to the event.
The idea for Stars of the Stadium-event was founded in spring 2011. We thought that Finland was missing a high level international snowboarding event and that we wanted to change. So we proudly present the first 4 star men's Big Air-event in Finland! Stars of the Stadium is being held in the legendary skijumping stadium in Salpausselkä, Lahti. The stadium can take up to a whopping 80.000 spectators!! Entering it first year the venue is going to be spectacular! The competition is invitational and 30 riders are invited to the event. This is a great possibility for Finnish young guns to earn some points to TTR ranking and use the competition as steppingstone to launch their career or get first sponsors. City of Lahti is located in southern part of Finland, 100km up north from Helsinki. It takes only 45min by car or train. Lahti is well known sporting city in Finland and that is big reason why Stars of the Stadium is in Lahti. We wanted to bring snowboarding to the big audience in Finland and now its possible thanks to our great partners and the help of Lahti city. Now we just have to wait and see how the talented riders battle it out in the evening of 11th of February!
