Details

If that’s not enough there is over 5 grands worth of equipment goodies, and vouchers galore, all up for grabs.

It’s already got the locals excited with rumours that Mark Hartley is on the wagon for the weekend of the comp, Coop dog is going all out for his new sponsor, Never Summer, and will be pleasing the photographers with his new Beckham hair-style and super smooth switch antics. Big Bob Yeomans is destined to double his height in the Pipe with his new spring loaded "A board" and after riding with Terje will show everyone some cat-like style. The big question is can young Mike Wakefield hold off the fast approaching horde of bladers, snapping at his heels, he will have to contend with Cab back flip 180’s and huge off axis spins. But experience tells that the youngster’s experience and talent will make him hard to beat. On the skiing side of things, Andy Bennett fresh from competing in the continental cup down in OZ, just missing out on qualifying for 2002 Winter Olympics, so he has got to be the man to beat. Glen Lawley, residence at the SFA has been pullin huge inverted trick new to the scene, which will undoubtedly get the tempo going. For the rest of mere mortals the doors are wide open for anyone to come and make their mark on the Sprite Arena.

An event wouldn’t be complete without a party and in true Sheffield style, the "Burn" party on the Saturday night is going to be a monster. With "Heaven and Hell" as the theme for the evening, it’s sure to bring out the Saints and Sinners in everyone. Also, in celebration of the M.C Rich-ass ability to talk bull, we decided to throw our own "Extreme Rodeo Bull" riding competition, which after a couple of "Burn, Champagne, Vodka’s" should be spectacular. It’s free entry to the party and there will be lots of drink promotions and semi naked chicks.

The National Freestyle Open event page can be administered by dunx (Dunx), stu (Stu Brass), spencer (Spencer Claridge) and office (Office).
