 SNO!storm
The 200m main slope will be packed with dedicated freestyle features and dominated, once more, by the return of the Legendary SNO!zone Scotland Hip!
Britain’s most iconic hip-hop act, Stereo MCs, are hoping for a warm reception when they play a free gig at SNO!zone in Braehead next month. The band will be playing live DJ sets both on SNO!zone’s main slope and then for a free set in the SNO!bar on Friday 1st August. The gig is set to be one of the most unusual locations they have ever played, ahead of their appearance on the main stage at the Live at Loch Lomond music festival. The band will also be celebrating the launch of their third album, Double Bubble, which hits stores in July. Stereo MCs were the first UK hip-hop act to make an impact on The US pop charts with their single Elevate My Mind, before going back to the studio to record breakthrough album Connected which spawned major hits such as Step it Up, Creation and the title track. Following the success of Connected the band took some time off before releasing 2001’s Deep Down and Dirty and touring the world. Stereo MCs will be playing live on the DJ set-up on the main slope for SNO!zone’s quarterly SNO!storm event which sees snowboarders and skiers attempt their most outrageous tricks and stunts. Following that they’ll be warming up the crowd for the after party in the SNO!bar, which is located upstairs within SNO!zone, with a free to enter public DJ set from midnight. The park will include the Lesson slope rookie park with FREE Coaching along with a packed main slope with exclusive features such as C Box's, Butter Box's and the mammoth hip.
