SNO!show
With the use of the real snow slope at SNO!zone, the show will be the biggest UK-based Ski and Board show where customers can actually try out equipment on the snow. With support from Ellis Brigham.
This weekend saw SNO!zone Milton Keynes hosting the first ever real snow ski and snowboard show in association with Ellis Brigham. Over 50 exhibitors attended ranging from international snow schools and industry media to several equipment manufacturers showcasing brand new hardware for the forthcoming 07/08 season. Visitors, entering free of charge, could not only discuss their kit requirements, but also physically try the equipment on the real snow slopes - a first for any industry show of this kind. RTM Snow Boarding, New Generation, Alpine Coaching and Method Snow Board School offered on-slope coaching throughout the weekend with sponsored riders from SNO!zone and Ellis Brigham amazing spectators with a series of adrenaline fuelled slope side demos. The weekend also featured a program of free, interactive seminars and activities, plus numerous free prize draws with the opportunity to win incredible prizes including Skis from Elan and Scott, a K2 Snowboard, Anon goggles, a Salomon Jacket, snowboard and bindings, Icon clothing and even an Avalanche shovel! On Saturday Evening SNO!zone presented the “BIG AIR SCRAMBLES COMPETITION” and Show Party in the newly refurbished SNO!bar. The competition featured a number of spot prizes from leading clothing manufacturers for the coolest on-slope action. In true apres ski tradition the Show Party in the SNO!bar featured superb live music from bands The Riff and Skirtbox and tunes from DJ Chico, until the early hours of Sunday morning. Arnaud Palu, Chief Executive of SNO!zone comments: “This event gave our customers and UK snow enthusiasts the opportunity to interact with some of the leading companies and manufacturers within the snow industry, plus demo the latest kit on the real snow slopes, all under one roof. SNO!zone would like to thank everyone who attended and donated prizes, and we are confident this show will develop into 2008 and beyond as a fantastic showcase for snow sports products. Events such as these demonstrate how much indoor real snow facilities can positively contribute to the development of the ski and snowboard industry".
