![]() Ski & Board Show 2010
This year’s British Ski and Board Show is giving visitors the chance to visit some of the World’s best ski slopes and resorts.
From the Olympic slopes in Canada to the undiscovered corners of India, and from Europe, the popular Swiss Alp resorts to the remote independent chalets, the show promises to be the passport to a fantastic winter holiday. Holiday companies, tour operators and independent owners will offer exclusive show deals with over 150 exhibitors showcasing the latest fashions, trends and innovations with new product launches as well as all the kit needed from leading manufacturers such as new skis, boards, boots and bindings, etc. Novices and experienced skiers and snowboarders alike can take to the indoor skills slope to brush up on techniques and get expert tuition from skilled instructors. Plus there will be demonstrations from specialist athletes from the UK and Europe. The centrepiece of the event will be the gravity defying Big Air Freestyle display team which includes former World and European Champion aerialists and freestylers. Using Europe’s largest indoor ramp, the team soar through the air, twisting and turning beyond belief! In the Talk Theatre, visitors can get expert advice on everything from travelling and fitness to driving and surviving avalanches by attending one of many workshops and seminars hosted by special guests and winter sport experts. And for those who enjoy their winter sport from the comfort of an armchair, organisers are planning to launch a Winter Film Festival which will premiere the latest skiing and snowboarding movies and documentaries. The British Ski and Board Show, sponsored by the Daily Telegraph, is open from 12noon until 8pm on Friday and 10am until 6pm on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are now on sale and prices range from as little as £6.50 for adults when purchased in advance and child tickets costing £2.50 each throughout the show.
