The Natural Born Riders Tour 2006 was decided at the weekend at Milton Keynes SNO! Zone with the Grand Final. After the two previous legs at Castleford SNO! Zone and Sheffield Ski Village all the finalists arrived at MK ready to fight for the NBR Titles 2006!

Before the finals there was still the chance for the MK locals to qualify in a jam session. All the regular heads were there including the Alternative Crew consisting of Aly McMorland, Paul Rennie and Ted Foster, girls showing up included Rebecca Cullum and the ever performing Laura Berry guaranteeing a great night.

After an hour jam the MK extra qualifiers for the grand final were decided and it was on to the Grand Final Slope Style runs. Finalists chosen from MK to join the other finalists who had already qualified at Castleford and Sheffield were:

Snowboard
Men: Steve Revill, Ben Van Leeven, Ross Needham
U’16: Henry Shackleton
Girls: Laura Berry, Rebecca Cullum, Sian Fahir, Sophie Nicholls

Ski
Men: Ted Foster, Max, Rob Taylor, James Webb
U’16: Tom Coe, Harry Hancock, James Hobson
Girls: Kat Earl, Amber Connors, Teri Spencer, Charlotte Prince

The snowboarders went first and standouts included Jamie Nicholls who had entered the mens event despite being under 16, Thom Boddington and last years winner Alex King who was ripping! Laura Berry, as usual was on fire as was Gemma Marshall and in the under 16’s it was Will Smith who was shocking everyone with his progression!

Skiers were next and the standard did not drop. Andy Collin was doing his best to retain his title while Josh Fawcett was going nuts, including switch flips with a Bopit in hand!! Amber Connors in the girls was also quietly going about her business!

Everyone was going for it and having a great time. The final standings can be seen on the results page.
