Cairngorm VANS Snowboard Comp
Cairngorm are set to get the first competition of the season under way on Sunday 18th February 2007. With VANS onboard as a sponsor for the park this year, everyone is expecting big things from Cairngorm.
The park will be situated in the Ptarmigan Bowl, allowing the riders to use the T-bar for access. In addition to the kicker and barrel jib, there's a whole selection of rails waiting to be placed out on the slope, including: - Small box Small shotgun rail Flat Down Large shotgun rail Large slide box A Frame C box Registration will take place in the T-Bar (above the Cas Bar in the Day Lodge) from 9am-10:30am. It'll cost £10 for adults and £5 for juniors to enter and the organisers are trying to arrange a "park pass" for the day, as most riders will only be using the Ptarmigan T-bar. The park opens for practise from 10-11:30ish, the competition will start at 12 noon and the presentations will be back down in the Day Lodge at the end of the afternoon.
