Just 4 Girls
Just 4 Girls aims to provide the female British rider with a chance to sample kit designed specifically for her, as well as opportunities to meet the girls who are following the dream and living snowboarding.
 Girls these days are making a bigger mark on the world of snowboarding. The pros have really pushed women’s riding in its own direction and grown a style independent of the boys. This has been reflected across the industry and never before have there been so much women’s specific product or brands available. So it’s about time for a womens' specific event. Just 4 Girls aims to provide the female British rider with a chance to sample kit designed specifically for her, as well as opportunities to meet the girls who are following the dream and living snowboarding. To be taught by like minded ladies and introduced to the park in a relaxed fun atmosphere, it’s a time to fight back against testosterone fuelled slope sessions. With viewings of Dropstitch all girls snowboard movie from Chunkyknit productions, a host of brands to try, as well as advice forums and giveaways. There will also be a chance to demo some of this season's goodies from Burton. Here's what Burton had to say. The word went out a while ago that there was an all girls demo event happening at Tamworth. Just 4 Girls is taking place on November 13th at the SnowDome and is going to showcase the current strength in woman's' riding and product. For any girl who pre books the snowboard ramp night (10pm - 1:30am) or beginners freestyle lessons (Beginner Ramp Night, 10:30pm-Midnight) for the evening will receive members rates i.e. 30% off the normal entry price, a bag o' goodies and entry into a raffle to win a holiday for two to the mountains, including board hire, quote Just 4 Girls when you book on 08705 000011. On the day we will be having a jam session comp on a box built especially for the event, a chance to demo the wealth of ladies specific product out there as well as opportunities to learn how to take care of your board, use a transceiver, do a season or even your first turn. We will also be showing Dropstich the new all girls movie from Chunkyknit productions and have on hand the girls that are doing it for real. This is the first ever all girls event in the history of UK snowboarding so no matter what your ability come and be a part of it. Here's the very latest from Snowdome: Calling all female snowboarders …… this Saturday at the SnowDome, 13th November 2004, there is a Just 4 Girls night, aimed solely at the female snowboarder (guys can still attend!) to showcase the current strength in women’s riding. This is the first ever all girls event in the history of UK snowboarding, so no matter what your ability come and be a part of it! The Tirol Bar opens at 9pm for the event with a huge array of sponsors showing off all their brand new women specific gear on the market. Pick up some sound advice from the female pro’s on how to take care of your board, use a transceiver, do a season or even your first turn. We will also be showing Dropstitch the new all girls movie from Chunkyknit productions, and have on hand the girls that are doing it for real. For complete beginners there are snowboard lessons on the Snow Academy between 7-10pm although please pre-book as they are filling fast. For competent snowboarders wishing to take their first steps in getting some air there’s the Beginner Ramp Night, from 10:30pm – Midnight, which will also feature top female pro-boarders dishing out the hints and tips. Spaces are strictly limited and pre-booking is essential. The main slope freestyle action kicks off with the full on ramp night from 10pm – 1:30am for fast and competent riders. During the night there will be a jam session comp on a brand new ‘white with polka dots’ (straight - down) funbox built especially for the event. There’s also the chance to demo the wealth of ladies specific product out there and win loads of prizes!! What’s more if you pre-book the Beginner or Main Slope Ramp Night you can save 30% off the normal price, receive a bag o’ goodies and entry into a raffle to win a holiday for two to the mountains.
