Yes you heard it right Burton Hi5 Tour is back and will be hitting up a fridge near you. We will be touring the UK this winter to the 6 UK indoors snow slopes with some amazing new obstacles for your park crew to get all creative with.

Like last year the comp is an open jam slopestyle with a practice, qualifiers and a “two run, best run counts” final. The categories will be split into kid’s boys/girls, youth boys/girls and senior mens/womens with a ton of prizes and swag will be up for grabs for the top three winners in each.

Like last year the battle won’t just be out on the slope but behind the scenes, as the country's top shapers will be going head to head to build the best park with the given obstacles. They will be in with the chance to win the coveted Golden Shovel Award along with a limited edition package from Burton Snowboards for the winning 5 shapers and the title of “Best Park In Britain”. This will be a rider judged element to the contest and all competitors (at the end of the night) will give their marks out of 5 for the following criteria:

Fun | Creativity | Experience | Rideability | Stoke

This format has been designed to be as inclusive as possible so get down to your local slope and start pushing the shaping teams for what you’d like to see on the night. Last year we witnessed some incredible setups and it’s up to YOU to push it even further this year. Don’t forget the winning slope gets to keep 2 of the Burton rails so even more incentive to support your local fridge.

The new rails/obstacles are under construction and are guaranteed not to disappoint. They are adaptable to a number of different possible variations and are completely unique like nothing else in the UK at this moment in time. Pictures will be released in the next few weeks and slopes will also have to create a ‘one off’ feature (of their choice) at each leg of the tour.

Every fridge in the UK is keen to get their hands on the title of “Best Park In Britain” and the dates are as follows:

SEPTEMBER 24TH - TAMWORTH SNOWDOME
OCTOBER 1ST, -SNO!ZONE BRAEHEAD
NOVEMBER 4TH - THE SNO!ZONE CASTLEFORD
NOVEMBER 11H - SNO!ZONE MILTON KEYNES
NOVEMBER 18 - CHILL FACTORE MANCHESTER
NOVEMBER 25TH- THE SNOW CENTRE, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD

So if you enjoyed it last year and fancy helping your local fridge win some new toys then get yourself to one of the above stops. This is a great series of comps that’s open to all ages and abilities and offers fantastic opportunity to progress over the tour.

The emphasis on the evening events will be all about fun and will have something for everyone. In the meantime stay tuned for regular updates on all things High5 and become a fan on our facebook page – Burton Hi5 2011.

The Burton Hi5 Tour event page can be administered by dunx (Dunx), stu (Stu Brass), spencer (Spencer Claridge) and office (Office).
