The Gathering
The undisputed Don of artificial freestyle slopes is having its second major snowboard event of the year.
Following the huge success of Halifax Air and Style ’02, one of the best comps of the year, this unique day will prove just as successful. The aim of this event is to provide no-nonsense more laid back breather from the packed calendar of competitions this summer. The event will be held on the 14th September 2002 between 2:00pm and 6:00pm, and will act as the opening of The Saturday Session. The session will run for the rest of the season every Saturday night from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, providing the more advanced riders with a safe environment in which they can push their limits further, on larger obstacles. This distinctive date will comprise of a wide range of manufacturers all bringing their latest equipment, best riders, and as much free promo stuff as possible. For the first time the British snowboard community can actually try a wide range of the latest equipment before they buy. Overall, the event will have a competition type feel but without the waiting around, or the other usual stresses of competing. Music, free stuff, the most amazing slope in the country and most importantly a gathering of old and new friends having a laugh will make the day a memorable one.
