4 packed days of exclusive premieres, shows, Q&A sessions, a gallery etc, from Kitesurfing to Snowboarding, Parkour to Climbing, Mountain Biking to FMX to Skateboarding to Wakeboarding
Tomorrow are the Snowboarding sessions at the Freesports Film Festival at the Prince Charles Cinema, Leicester Square, London hosted by Ed Leigh and Christian Stevenson. There are some awesome movies showing on the big screen... ____ SHOWING AT 1.40PM: FUTUREPROOF (1.40pm): This year Absythe Films decided that jumps were pretty cool, but someone can always jump higher, or spin faster. With Futureproof, they set about trying to discover something new in snowboarding, something so different that it will stand the test of time. What did they find? They¹re not telling us yet, find out for yourself at this screening! TRANSFER (1.40pm): Transfer is the follow-up to DropStitch, last year's highly successful all-girl snowboard film from ChunkyKnit Productions. This season has seen a dramatic upsurge in the standards of female riding and Transfer both documents and encapsulates this change in the sport, as well as detailing some of the personalities involved. SHOWING AT 6.35PM: PARADOX (6.35pm)... the winter of 2005 was legendary and Standard Films was there to capture every moment. Filming on epic snow conditions and unique terrain features, ³Paradox² is a perfect blend of freestyle and big mountain snowboarding. Paradox is not a dime a dozen jib flicks shot on video, Paradox is snowboarding! Featuring: John Jackson, Frederik Austbo, Eric Jackson, Mark Landvik, Mads Jonsson, Frederik Kalbermatten, Jeremy Jones. HUNGERPAIN (6.35pm)... the time has come to make way for the UK¹s new breed of riders, stepping up to the biggest kickers, dirties handrails, and deepest powder. The rider list is dope, filmers are at the ready and motivation is sky high. They are the frontline soldiers taking British riding forwards. _____ Get your friends together and come down to the Prince Charles Cinema, Leicester Square, London for some snowboarding heaven, and maybe some drinks/shopping too.
