The first Experimental Jam will be taking place, organised by Experimental Board Shop. Cash prizes are available for male and female seniors as well as loads of prizes from top sponsors for both seniors and juniors.

Sponsors include (the ones I can remember): Drake, Salomon, Flow, Arnette, Conspiracy, Experimental, Alphanumeric, Headworx. Thats not even half but I cant remember them all! I'll get a definite list for you tomorrow evening.

There are 3 kickers, one of which has a 16ft long, 4ft high, floaty transition. There is a beginner kicker which is 2ft high with an 8ft long transition The slope is nice and steep so going big will not destroy your knees! There are some mental rails being built, both for beginners and advanced jibbers, with some classic and original designs. There is even a rumoured set of 20 steps with a handrail being built!

This is a comp for all - both big name riders and those looking to enter a first comp. Whether you are looking to ride seriously and get some results under your belt, or if you just want to have a laugh and enjoy British Snowboarding the way it was meant to be, this is the comp to come to.

For total beginners/improvers, there are lessons on offer for only £5.
Bargain!

Spectators are extremely welcome and it is an excellent venue for watching the riding. There is a picnic area at the bottom of the slope with a perfect view of everything or grass verge on both side of the slope for a closer look. A Barbecue will be set up as will a Bar for those who wish to eat, drink and be merry.

So be there if you want to ride one of the best and newest parks with the funnest rails and kickers on dryslope. Or if you'd rather sit back and enjoy watching others, you are warmly invited to do so. This is the way dryslope comps were meant to be - 100% fun and laughter with everyone welcome to compete.

Note: It is £10 to enter the comp and registration begins at 12. Practice is until 2pm when a Jam session begins, followed by a Big Air Comp. After that you can ride as long as you want until 10pm.

The event will be advertised at other events, in Document Snowboard Magazine and Snowboard UK, so there is no excuse for missing it!

For any queries please call Neil at Experimental on 01279 461997 or Sean at Welwyn Ski and Board Centre on 01707 384384.

The Experimental Jam event page can be administered by dunx (Dunx), stu (Stu Brass), spencer (Spencer Claridge) and office (Office).
