The time has come...It's the classic 'fight or flight' situation. Many of you will be controlled by fear, will back down and excuse yourselves from the challenge. Others will step up to it, and will go home heroes...

In under 3 weeks, on Sunday 7th September, the 2nd Annual Experimental Jam will once again set the benchmark for comps to try and follow. As with last year, the arena will be Gosling Ski & Snowboard Centre, in Welwyn Garden City, Herts. There will be tons of dope sponsors and cash prizes too.

You will remember that the ante of dryslope riding was upped in 2002 with the unveiling of Experimental's monster 12 stair handrail. This year, the stakes will be raised again. Rumours have been flying about the new kinked rail that will join our handrail and already new kickers have been built and tested to perfection. Plans of a water gap are coming into fruitition, but the feature which will attract the most attention is the new airbag. The first of its kind in the UK, competitors and non competitors will be given the chance to try out any trick imaginable, safe in knowing that it won't hurt, however you land.

So whether you are a man or a mouse, there will be plenty for you to push yourselves on. This is a comp for all standards - both big name riders and those looking to enter a first comp. Whether you are looking to ride seriously and show the world what you're made of, or if you just want to have a laugh and enjoy British Snowboarding the way it was meant to be, this is the comp to come to.

Spectators are extremely welcome and it is an excellent venue for watching the riding. There is a picnic area at the bottom of the slope with a perfect view of everything or grass verge on both side of the slope for a closer look. Food and drink will be available throughout the day.
So be there if you want to ride one of the best and newest parks with the funnest rails and kickers on dryslope. Or if you'd rather sit back and enjoy watching others, please do. This is the way dryslope comps were meant to be - 100% fun and laughter with everyone welcome to compete.

Registration at 12 noon, £15 entry fee, £10 for Juniors (U16).

Quote from TheBoarder.co.uk on last year's comp:
"We have seen the future and it is dryslopes! ....... If there was any doubt in anybody's mind, whether the UK still had a dryslope scene down south, then Experimental put that doubt to rest. Nice slope, serious effort put into the event, some serious riding and a decent turn out of gogglers."
