Document Snowboard Magazine's second birthday party featuring the first UK snowskate championship.
An extended session is always a pull and the party atmosphere at Tamworth Snowdome always promises a good night to be had. The Document 2nd birthday party was no exception. Many Scottish riders had been there since the doors had opened and we're still amazed at how well some of those guys can ride when they're completely off their heads. Don't try this at home kids. We had ProDog dropping in on the quarter pipe on his "Promier" deck and BASIL generally beating himself up on the slopes. The big event was the Snowskate champs. Many of the young rippers were giving it their best on decks and skates. The two that stood out for me we the eventual winner, Chris also pulling off a superb drop in from the quarter, plus some nice moves on the kinked rail and grand prix and the drunk Chris (ProDog). Some other riders were also doing well, including Chris Schulz. Hmmm... seems to be a pattern developing here. The mid session beer was another opportunity for the Forum regulars to get wasted and wasted they indeed got, with many not bothering to come back out for the second session. For the last half and hour there was only a dozen or so left on the slopes, which gave a few of us ample opportunity to kill the quarter. So come 2am it was time to get off as energy levels were at a serious low. Another great night at the Snowdome.
