End of Season Party - Tamworth
The riders' end of season party - Tamworth
Another fine turn out from the UK Snowboard Forum and the Milton Keynes locals showing nuff respect saw a great turn out for the End of Season Party at the Tamworth Snowdome. Russ Shea from Document was also along for some shots for next year's brochures with Hamish Duncan and Rob Yeomans in tow. Thus, with MK yoof in the form of James Carr, Laura Berry and Steve Revill we had some great riding guaranteed along side those who came for some laughs. The guys from NewSchoolProductions were also there and we hear they're putting together a new Tamworth based film. DJ Shiny was in his usual happy little world on the decks and span tunes for much of the night. Crazy Ninja put on entries to the amateur video competition and we'll have details of how to vote soon. On the slope, Tamworth had pulled out the stops. The Jackson box at the top, followed by three kickers on the way down the slope, the gas pipe, new double-stepped picnic benches, a new straight rail, a gapped kinked rail all rounded off nicely with the quarter pipe still topped with the hellish tombstone from the Quarter Slaughter. Russ also caught Laura Berry jumping the picnics tables whilst a group of us sat around pretending to be without a care in the world. Hopefully Russ won't trash his microdrive before getting these to print this time. Thanks to Laura for leaving me in one piece, being last to the table I was nearest the jump. Go figure. So, a big thanks to Gary at the SnowDome and for all those who came, fell, drank and generally had a great time. Roll on the Forum Summer Bash.
