Less than a week to go before the second of this year’s Burton Black Metal trilogy, after the huge turnout and massive success of the Castleford event you can expect another epic night.

At the Castleford event, the over 50 entrants from the UK’s top talent pushed the level of riding to new levels, as they competed for those golden tickets to the BEO.

All of these finalists have secured their places in the super final at Tamworth on the 19th November.

Hamish McKnight has been busily tweaking his demonic box set to perfection in preparation for the ultimate ride for Milton Keynes. This is the chance for all riders from the south to step up to plate and show their Northern brethren what they are made of.

Entries are still pouring in, so if you haven’t already registered go on-line and enter at www.burtonblackmetal.com. You can also enter on the day for your next chance to compete in the UK’s favourite jib fest and secure your place in the super final.

Be there, it’s going to be another sick night!

Burton Black Metal rail comps are being held at:
Milton Keynes X-scape 5th November 7-11pm
Tamworth Snowdome 19th November 8.30pm-1am (including the finals)

The symbolism and spiritual importance of the number three can't be overlooked. The number of divine perfection, our Earth is the third planet; there are three primary colours and three dimensions to a solid object. This year brings to us the third of The Burton Black Metal rail jams, and we are using the experience of the past and the input of our team to make this the best ever. Once again we will be visiting all three fridges, and unveiling the latest creation from the mind of Hamish McKnight, a three box set up some nine meters long, including a c, down flat down roller and straight box in the selection.

The format of the evening is to follow the rider driven jam session of years past, which has proved successful in pushing progression and keeping it fun. The past has been winner takes all and just the joy of taking part for all others. At all events the highest placed rider with out a board sponsor will receive one of three custom made Black Metal boards and the top three finishers, from each night (nine in all) will be invited to the super final (to be held at Tamworth after usual program) to battle it out for the opportunity to travel to the Burton European Open with the Burton UK Team. In this modern age of equal rites we are extending the challenge to the ladies, by again inviting winners of the three events to a final, where a trip to the open and limited edition board, Burtons all new Gtwin, are also up for grabs.

As extra bonuses for the first night at Milton Keynes there is a chance to win a holiday with CSB.

The Burton Black Metal Rail Jam event page can be administered by dunx (Dunx), stu (Stu Brass), spencer (Spencer Claridge) and office (Office).
