The BRITS

The BRITS Snow & Music Festival returns to the award winning resort of Laax, Switzerland on March 18th – 25th 2012 to bring you the ultimate winter break at a recession-beating price. Combining seven nights of live music and DJ acts with seven days of top snowboard and ski action for as little as £295, this winter gem is the number one holiday for both wintersports fanatics and hardcore party goers alike. ![]() Whilst the headline acts have yet to be confirmed, you can be guaranteed an eclectic mix of daily live après ski music, a banging big name act, a hedonistic fancy dress party and a different DJ or live band every night. Previous acts have included Pendulum, The Correspondents, DJ Yoda and the critically-acclaimed Ben Howard. This year's line-up is taking shape as we speak (or type...) and will be with you shortly, watch this space! ![]() But of course, The BRITS is about much more than just partying. The 220km of incredible skiing and snowboarding terrain guarantees to keep first-time riders and skiers happy, while the four world-class snow parks and two halfpipes promise to challenge even the most seasoned of snow experts. When you’re not out on the slopes sampling some of Europe’s finest freestyle terrain sit back and watch the cream of UK freestyle skiers & snowboarders battle it out for the coveted British Championship medals, including the Trespass Ski/Snowboardcross and the Protest Slopestyle title. ![]() With slopestyle recently being included in the Sochi 2014 Olympic Games, The BRITS now dishes out titles in three Olympic disciplines, Halfpipe, Trespass Snowboard/Skiercross and the Protest Slopestyle, as well as continuing to crown the British Big Air Champion. Importantly, to complement its TTR association in snowboarding, The BRITS is now part of the Association of Freeski Professionals (AFP) World Tour Ranking. This gives all-comers the chance to secure World Ranking points and measure themselves against the likes of Simon Dumont and Bobby Brown whilst competing for British Championship titles across five age categories, Kids, Youth, Junior, Senior and Masters. ![]() When you’re done rocking your thermal socks off and ridden more vertical metres than you can shake a dirty ski pole at, stumble into the comfort of your styling accommodation at one of Laax’s two renowned design hotels, the ultra-hip Riders Palace and the super-slick rocksresort. Check out the website for booking details and event updates for the authentic snow & music festival: www.the-brits.com Week-packages start from £295, including seven nights’ accommodation, seven day liftpass, BRITS event wristband, which includes free access to all the club nights and a horde of discounts, and an official BRITS beanie.
