Air Wars III - The Return of the Jibber, will be held on Saturday 24th September 2005 at the John Nike Ski Centre in Bracknell and once again will consist of Slope Style and Big Air competitions with all proceeds going to our two chosen charities.

As with last year there will be opportunity for the skiers from the Dark Side to ride in the jam sessions, however, there will be no skiing competition.

“AirWars II: The Dendix Strikes Back” managed to raise approximately £700 which was split between the national charity British Heart Foundation and the Camberley, Surrey based charity Make-A-Wish Foundation. This year we would like to raise even more for these two very worthwhile charities!

AirWars - Return of the Jibber!

To all the wanabee Han Solos and Chewbaccas here are just a couple of things to tell you about this weekend’s big charity comp.

Registration is from 10am for all competitiors and practise will start between 11am and 12 noon. The competition proper will possibly start earlier than shown on the website at 1pm and following timings are also subject to change.

Helmets must be worn by Rebel Alliance members, regardless of age, and as well as the registration fee a £10.00 refundable deposit will be required for the bib.

Should you want a memento of the day, and you would like to help us raise even more money for charity, then please consider ordering a t-shirt from IceHole Profiling and Branding. This will have the AirWars III logo on the front and a photo of yourself taken on the day on the back (like the picture of Sam Cullum shown) - all for only £10.00, the majority of which is donated to our charities – just let us know when you register and we’ll make sure you have it by the end of the day! Also if you are interested in being able to offer t-shirts like this at your comp then please contact Sam Cullum through his website, www.samcullum.co.uk

Having battled a Galactic Civil War across the Empire, feast yourselves on a “Jedi” burger from the barbecue which will provided on the day! The “Cantina” bar will also be open throughout the day and for the after comp party, so we hope you’ll stay and enjoy a beer with us and have a go on the breakdance mat!

There are two holidays up for grabs, one for the Womens “Chalet Snowboard” Overall Winner and one for the Mens “Ski Deep” Overall Winner.

We also have a host of prizes from the following confirmed sponsors so our thanks go to Westbeach, Ride, Natives, Nixon, SS20, Princes Shop, Stikup, Burton, Volcom, Special Blend, Onfire, howies, SP, Avalanche Sports, DC, Eastpak, Snow & Rock, Dragon, Mambo, Demon, SCUK, Blue Skin, Helly Hansen, KT Active and Vew-Do.

Finally we have one prize to give away to the Skier’s Skier of the Day, the best skier nominated on the day by the other skiers of the Dark Side, so get yourselves along and join in the fun on the ramps and rails and help raise money for two very worthwhile charities.

Once again we are giving all proceeds from competition entries and donations to the British Heart Foundation and the Make-A-Wish Foundation and are hoping to raise £1000.00 or more.
