![]() Orange AIM Series Schools Tour 1
The Schools Tour promotes snowboarding and freeskiing across the country ahead of the AIM Series.
The Orange AIM Series Schools Tour, with a team of British Champion snowboarders and freestyle skiers, will visit 10 UK schools from Edinburgh to Milton Keynes in June 2004 to motivate pupils to get off the couch and on to the snow (or artificial surface of their choice). The schools tour spends a day at each school, presenting the various elements and disciplines of snowboarding and freestyle skiing, as well as talking about mountain safety, equipment, training and career opportunities. Before getting the chance to check out the equipment themselves, the students are treated to a trampoline display of more difficult tricks by the pros. As part of the Orange AIM Series, the Orange AIM Schools Tour, works to broaden the awareness of the two most growing snow sports in the UK and to get more young talent involved on a national level. Pupils at each school get given the opportunity to try these sports through a free beginner lesson scheme provided alongside the Orange AIM Series national championships, and the motivation to try their talent in these open entry competitions.
