![]() British Artificial Slopestyle Championships, plus Big Air. With new ‘permasnow’ surface Bracknell offer tubes, boxes, new quarterpipe and a variation of kickers and rails.
The Bracknell Ski Centre kick-starts the 2005 Orange AIM Series competition circuit with the British Artificial Slopestyle Championships and 200 FREE beginner lessons to the public over the weekend of the 6th and 7th August 2005. Over the weekend the new venue of Bracknell will see some of UK’s best snowboarders and freestyle skiers, eager to showcase new tricks and earn themselves the title of “British Artificial Slopestyle Champion”. Boasting such names as Rebecca and Sam Cullum, young snowboarder Frazer Dainton and currently topping local Freestyle Ski Competitions James Webb as local riders. Bracknell’s slope is more than qualified to entertain and challenge the most confident skiers and riders. Whilst in the warm up Big Air competition it is all about flying high and landing smoothly. Learn to ski and snowboard - The Animal Snowboard Academy and the Trespass Ski Academy offer a one hour FREE snowboard or ski lesson with a qualified instructor on the Bracknell nursery slope. The initiative to increase participation and promote local facilities is open for all ages between 12 (noon) and 4 pm both days. Equipment is supplied by Bracknell Ski Slope and all participants get a goody bag. The competition is based on open entry for all performance levels and competitors compete in age categories. Helmets are obligatory for all under 16. Some of UK’s top snowsport athletes and Olympic hopefuls have developed through the Orange AIM Series and over 4,000 beginners have tried snowboarding and skiing through the free lesson initiative over the last three year’s.
