![]() Burton Freestyle Snowboard Camp
One of two camps being held this Summer. £30 per camp, 7 to 10.30pm.
Last Tuesday the second of two Burton freestyle coaching camps took place at Tamworth Snowdome. The UK Burton Team were on hand to offer advice and tips on all aspects of freestyle snowboarding from kickers and rails to buttering or popping your first olly. Participants also had the opportunity to try out the new Burton ’09 boards and bindings and chat with the guys about what stick would best suit their needs and ability. The riders were split into 6 groups depending on ability and what they wanted to achieve out of the evening. By the end of the first hour people were pushing their snowboarding to new levels hitting obstacles that were once feared and in their eyes “only for the pro’s”- as one guy said. At the end of the evening everyone ventured up into the bar to check out the footage of themselves, which was played on a big screen. Each group’s coach then handed out prizes to individuals who performed well and pushed themselves to try new things. Almost everyone went home clutching some swag with huge smiles on their faces feeling that they’d learnt something new. Keep your eye out later in the year for more Burton freestyle coaching sessions at Tamworth. The Burton Freestyle Snowboard Camp page can be administered by dunx (Dunx), stu (Stu Brass), spencer (Spencer Claridge) and office (Office). Page views: 1807 |
