Hope you folks are well ...
I've been riding for a few years now and have primarily focused on Freeriding, but this year I really want to up my Freestyle skills, in the Pipe mainly.
I'm currently riding a 157 04/05 Palmer Honeycomb with Drake Super Sport Bindings, this board really is the dogs off-piste and in the backcountry.
But I'm thinking of picking up a shorter board for the pipe and park work, the Shaun White seems to have some pretty nice specs, I also like the sounds of the grip tape finish on top (no need to deface the board with a stomp pad). I was wondering if anyone out there had ridden the 05/06 Shaun White and had any feedback they could give me on it?
I'm also thinking of replacing my Super Sports with Burton Customs, I'm keen to see if the Cap strap will give me a better ride ...
Any thoughts on the Burton Customs?
Thanks in advance!
Mitch

I would stay well clear of the grip tape topsheet! They are a reet B*gger for collecting huuuge amounts of snow and weighing you down!

I have the 04/05 SW 155 board and its the best board ive ridden so far. really light and easy to use.
my friend has the 05/06 156 SW board which he really likes. not sure where you heard about grip tape top sheet coz his one does not have it. ive seen them going cheap on www.freeridesnowboards.co.uk thinking about getting the new one but dont want to copy my mate.
