had a go at settin up my bindings for the first time on sunday,
what stance angle do you use.
i set mine up to like 30 for front and -5 for back, put my boots on and had a stomp about, my front leg ached so i guess i need less of a angle for the front. my back leg felt ok though.
im a sixe 8.5 boot but my the toes of the boots came over the edge of the board i can move my bingings further back on the board but dont know if my heal will over hang then.
help |

30deg my god!
I ise 18-21 on the front and 12-15 on back. Your boots should just overhang the edge but even toe and heal |

| Similar front and back angles helps when you come to riding switch so getting used to it now is the best idea. Your bindings should be a comfortable width apart. Normally just slightly wider then your shoulders. You want to make sude you have your knee's bend and are comfy. Then they should be set up so from the front binding to the nose of your board is slightly longer than from your back one to the tail |

basically the center line between your two bindings should be set back towards the tail of your board and not exactly in the middle.
What make are the bindings as most come with diagrams of how to set them up on your board |

most boards are directional anyway, so just centering them should give you this...
I did read somwhere that the total angle of the binding should be no more than 30 degrees, ( a quote from mr Mcnab - not the sas chappy....) combined, ie -9 rear 21 front....
for the record -5 rear and 18-21 front for me.. |

| If your highback moves/rotates a little line it up with the edge of the board. |

| ok, I was under the impression that all burton boards had the ideal stance actually marked on the board, this should be a centred stance.... |

| It is the average marked on but depends on your height and what you find comfy |

oh just remembered burton have thoe funny triangly bolt patterns...
Ok, for stance width, just wider than than your shoulder width (technically) or the distance from your ankle joint to your knee joint...... or as far apart as they'll go if you want to look cool!!.....apparently........ |
