Wooaah...

Dont try the hairdryer and thne send thme back, the shop can tell, and you'll be stuck with a pair of boots you cant board in.

Say that I got a pair of Contra Boas at the weekend, Theyre still feeling real tight over the front of the boot (with my thickest socks on) but I can feel them beginning the loosen up in there. Another week or so and they'll be perfect, which is convenient as thats when im off again..!! Very Happy

And the Boa system....wow....no more blistered fingers.... Confused

decisions, decisions. I really like them so I think I'll persevere with trying to break them for a few days. They were my thickest socks too, perhaps a slightly thinner pair would help.

Off in 11 days. Come on.......!

I've just done the exact same thing and ended up getting a pair of F24's from 47degrees, sorry TSA blokes!

For the info, I've spent the last couple of evenings parading around the house in the Vans. They now fit much better. A couple more nights and hopefully they'll be snug. That's with my thickest socks as well so if needs be can get some thin ones.

So if anyone else has just purchased Vans and they're tight at first I'd stick with them for a bit, as suggested before.

If you get them to bed in wearing thick socks then the boots will mould to this "larger foot size". So when you decide to start wearing thinner socks you may find the boots are loose around the foot. Might be better to wear thinner socks whilst bedding them in. Best thing to do is bed them in in the actual type of sock you'll be riding in.
