HI,
I have converted a few snowboard dvd's to a format that the ipod can read. You might be able to get to sw free from limewire. I use cucusoft to convert media files for the ipod. You can get some sw to convert the dvd straight to a ipod file but it will cost you some cash. Look at PQ DVD to Ipod Vid Converter for that. I then chuck the files in itunes then they are added to my libarary. If you do not want to pay for the sw use something like Ulead. You can import the dvd to a file if it does not have a copyright on it.
As for some podcasts, try this new one for size:

See ya.
