Just wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction for a website to get cheap weekend breaks to the slopes. Everywhere I see is a 7/10/14 dayer which I can do a few times but otherwise I'm working and can't get the time off.
Is the other way to do it independently and just book some flights and hostels and stuff?? Anyone do smaller trips and give me an idea of costs as well as organising!
Cheers! |

we are still getting fresh trax all over the mountain, esp in the trees but on open fields too, all you got to do is look about you and you find places others dont go!

turin or grenoble, but turin is quicker due to motorways.
turin i have done in 1 hour and twenty minutes, grenoble can take up to 2 hours but is normally 1 3/4
btw its due to snow tonight and it looks like its gonna snow!
Bring it on! |

I had the same problem. Then saw flexiblebreaks.com at the ski show.
They do any length break and pick you up/drop you off at Turin, in the price, if you use the evening Ryanair flights.
Not been with them yet, but we're using them this weekend for Montgenevre for a 4 nighter, so will let you know if they're any good. They also seem to do Sauze d'oulx. They were helpful when we rang up and booked (as you'd expect!), and called back promptyl when they said they'd call back etc. |

Will let you know when I’m back next week.
I’ve been watching the forecast sites with eager anticipation for the last few weeks as the base levels are pretty low (35cm lower, 55cm) and there’s still about 1/3 of the pistes & lifts closed and it hadn’t had any fresh since 31/12 so it was look a bit desperate !
Looks like my prayers may have been answered though as I booted up this morning to find a snowmail alert from metcheck suggesting its due for 70cm in the next 7 days.
I reckon that’s a tad on the optimistic side, but either way it looks like (along with the rest of othe soutern alps) there’s a good 20 or so cm coming today/tomorrow with more due at the weekend.

at least the same as us but from what i've beeen told (and this is just hear say it may very well be wrong) as alpe d'huez is more rocky than hear the off piste isn't as good as here.
And its true most of the damage on my old board was done in alp d'huez on a pow day, decptive as you think its all ok then the dreaded rock shows its face
i'm sure there's is more than enough for the bash to be very very good! |
