Ive bought a new Burton cruiser board, and im going to livigno on the 21st. do i need to get the board waxed or de-tuned before i go?

very important that you strap your feet in and jump about the house on it before you go anywhere ....cause everyone does that

...might need de-tuning but the shop should have done that for you when you had it

Burton boards come out of the factory detuned and waxed by their resident robot. It's ready to shred.

Is there any way to tell a board has been/needs detuning? Incidentally, why do boards need de-tuning anyway, to generate another revenue stream for the shops?
