Hi all

Anyone stayed at either of these places in Alpe D'Huez?

Quartier D Bergers
Bergers Apartments

I've found a few deals but no pictures so can't really see what you get for your money.

Cheers
L

Cheers - been scouring the web but everywhere has the same one picture. Booked it now anyway, I figured at least it's right next to the ski lift if nothing else.

Had a look at those but we ended up only getting L'ours Blanc which I think may be a bit away from the lifts...but the price was right you see!?

Again...pretty much the same picture on every website, which makes me a bit dubious about the acommodation too!

I reckon it'll be a shoebox. Just praying it's at least clean! If I remember I'll take pics and put together a review for future users - it's really annoying that there isn't enough info on most places.

Just found out that some of the rooms don't have a shower!!!

Crap...sharing a bathtub between 4 dudes after days of snowboarding does nnnooo sound the best!

Shoebox doesn't even begin to describe it!

Also don't have a tv...not bothered as long as I have beer though.

hey mate, I stayed in bergers apartments last year. its fine, clean, the rooms are quite small but ours had a little cooking area which was cool. we got a little balcony for drying all our stuff on in the sun. The walls are made of paper tho and the room layout was invented by some mad frenchman, theres half a wall in the middle of the room with no real purpose!!??

as for being close to the lifts, its as close as you can get! and you can board right upto the changing rooms of the apartments. Only trouble is its about as far as you can get from the town, but alpe d'huez is tiny so its only a little walk.

my tip is the freeride bar, they have a slide from one floor to the next! and go on the "scare chair" its the closest lift to the hotel and it takes you under a airstrip and down a massive valley to another small less crowded mountain where loads of huskies live at the bottom. great off piste when quiet

have fun!

I just payed 47 euros a night for a place in Alpe D'Huez that didnt have its own shower and was the size of a shoe box, still it was a cosy shoe box all the same
