just got back...it was possibly the best conditions i could have asked for!
sunny and good piste & park conditions for the first few days, then 24hours of dumping, then a sunny powder day down the road in kaltenbach (in which i jumped off a roof!!!) and then another perfect park day.
work is going to be horrendous this week |

Aye, very good week indeed. Good to meet you two guys from SCUK - sorry for the whinging about my ankle all day! Couldn't walk well that evening and had to strap it up for a few runs on the last day - painful but had to be done. It's making unhealthy clicking noises this morning
Anyway, gonna have to do Kaltenbach again someday - absolutely amazing place. |

kaltenbach is just down the valley. much quieter resort with big wide open pistes and heaps of decent off piste. if theres fresh snow, i would def recommend you give it a try. i believe you can get the train there (both the train and the lifts included on the area lift pass)
on another note, if theres fresh snow and you fancy some powder and trees, check this:
take the 6 man chair from the penken base station and head to blue 20 (i think). as the cat track turns right, back around towards the penken side of the mountain, cut off left and you can follow it all the way down to meet blue 20 as it hits the horbergbahn gondala station.
its amazing!! lots of trees, steeps and the odd barbed wire fence (so keep your eyes peeled!)
god its sh!t to be back at work :'( |
