Hello every Mo Fo out there. Just discovered the site so I thought I test yall's knowledge on the real snow scene.
I've been hearing bits and pieces on the grape vine of a snowdome in Manchester for some time but nothing ever seems to get off the ground. Does anyone know if one is planned or being built?
IF there ain't one planned, then lets get one planned. Power to the powder. |

| look at the map of slopes on this site, explains what is going on. I've never known a time when there hasn't been one planned for Manchester but it never happens, maybe one day but don't hold your breath. |

| There's been so many proposed for Manchester it's sometimes difficult to even click on the right pixel on the map. As well as those Danny mentioned, there's also the one proposed for Trafford and the ChillE one. |

yeah i was wondering about that 'Chill Factor E' one in trafford park, as its been about a year since there was any news on it, guess that means its probably not happening!!
That salford one on the link above was the worst - they actually had the billbaord up for years with the logo and a description of what's coming, kept putting back the completion date on it, and now i think they're building flats (as if there arent enough blocks of flats being built in manc!!) |

If you have transport sorted, sunday evening sessions at fax used to be fun (nearer than cas and a couple of jumps to play on).
As for the main post, add on Wigan, Southport, Liverpool on to your radar and there are more false dawns than your average tory party conference. Believe it when it opens and til then i'll carry on playing at rossy. |

Cheers for that, I noticed the map of the slopes about three seconds after I'd posted the topic - DOH
I had a drive down to the Chill factor E yesterday and it's no more than a pile of crap at the moment. I'm gonna do some more digging and find out if it's likely to happen
It's a shame that they can't get one off the ground as I think there would be a good scene in Manc. Castleford is a trek and gets way too busy. We need a snowdome built for the scene rather than blatent profit !(rant over)! |

| I would love a snowdome in Manchester, but then I wouldn't be able to afford to go as often as I go to Rossendale at the moment anyway. I've been waiting for them to build one around manchester since around 1997 when they were planning the Xanadu project. |

Yeah, I think Castleford is okay now and again but a tres' too far for me.
We need a Manc dome, run by boarders, with a Bar called Britney's that I will run and provide free beer. Hhhmmmm Beer |
